A lover of history, clothing and textiles since childhood, Kimberly Costa has been offering programs in 18th century Living History for over fifteen years, providing a unique look into life in the past. Her interactive programs allow the public to not only see, but to experience what daily life was like during our Colonial and Young Republic periods. Ms. Costa believes that hands-on, interactive programs are the best way to bring history to life, and stimulate and engage her audiences.
A gifted lecturer, Kimberly has spoken all over the country. Topics have included clothing and textiles, fiber arts, love and marriage, food and its place in history, a Loyalist point of view of the American Revolution, theatre, beauty and cosmetics, dance and a variety of others. All programs and lectures were designed and shaped to fit each groups needs in order to make the program more accessible, understandable and entertaining for her audience.
